Message
from the International Affairs Division
To the readers of this NPA newsletter, although we are certain
you are already familiar with the duties of the International Affairs Division,
please allow us to take this opportunity to introduce a little about ourselves
to you.
Amidst rapidly progressing globalization, the
duties of the International Affairs Division have been increasing
each year in terms of both quality and quantity. Our major duties
include international cooperation activities, survey research on
foreign civil service systems, and operations related to international
organizations. These are carried out by 12 staff members in the position
of division director and below. Through these activities we have
introduced Japan’s administrative and civil service systems,
and at the same time we are learning a great deal from the systems
of your countries. We members of the International Affairs Division
receive the greatest sense of fulfillment when we put to use what
we have learned to create an even better civil service in Japan,
or when the above-mentioned Japanese systems are used for the benefit
of your countries, such as the case of the establishment of the Mozambique
Central Personnel Agency “The National Authority for Public
Service”, as touched upon in the greeting by Director General
Mr. Yoshida.
Here at the NPA, we will continue in our efforts
to introduce Japan’s systems to the world through international
cooperation and public relations activities. We sincerely look forward
to hearing your messages or any new information.
